United Airlines has recently revamped its travel credit card offerings, introducing new benefits and adjusting the costs. The changes, in collaboration with Chase Bank, bring enhanced perks such as credits for ride-sharing services (Uber or Lyft) and rebates on hotel stays and car rentals.
As of today, current United cardholders will automatically receive these new benefits, while new applicants will enjoy the updated features as soon as they sign up. Every card in the United MileagePlus lineup has received additional perks, with a new card also being introduced to cater to travelers seeking exclusive benefits.
The United Explorer Card, which previously had an annual fee of $95, will now charge $150 annually. In return, cardholders will receive a $60 rideshare credit, $100 in United Hotels credit, a three-month Instacart subscription, and other added benefits.
A new card, the United Quest Card, is being launched with an annual fee of $350. This card offers a range of benefits, including $200 in United travel credits, two Global Economy Plus upgrade certificates, and bonus PQP points that can help travelers achieve higher MileagePlus status.
For the most frequent flyers, United has enhanced its United Club Card, which now carries a $695 annual fee. This card includes a United Club membership, $150 in rideshare credits, and a 20,000-mile award flight discount, with a total value exceeding $2,000. Its previous annual fee was $525.
Small business owners can also sign up for United’s business cards, which offer similar travel benefits and club access.
These updated fees and benefits will take effect immediately for new cardholders, while existing cardholders will begin receiving the new benefits today. However, the fee adjustments will apply starting August 1, except for the Explorer Card, which will see its fee increase on January 1, 2026.
United Airlines continues to offer a range of credit cards designed to meet the diverse needs of travelers, making it easier than ever to enjoy MileagePlus benefits.
Richard Nunn, CEO of MileagePlus at United Airlines, emphasized the value of these cards, stating, “We designed these cards to meet a variety of needs and travel styles – and as a result, the suite of benefits the cards offer for United customers is simply unparalleled.”

This move is part of a broader trend where airlines partner with financial institutions to offer credit cards that provide frequent flyers with valuable miles and other travel benefits. Similar partnerships include Delta’s collaboration with American Express and American Airlines’ partnership with Citi.
